5 Reasons You Need A Strengths Coach

"Strengths give you endorphins. Endorphins make you happy. Happy people just don't shoot their husbands, they just don't."

^ I think that is how the quote from Legally Blonde goes… right? Jokes aside, it is time I tell you my 5 Reasons You Need a Strengths Coach.

Strengths are proven to help you see success (in many different areas of life). It helps businesses see increased retention of employees, it helps people make more sales, and it has even been proven to help foster community. Strengths are expansive and will have as much impact as you are willing to put time into it. In order to have a lasting impact, you need to invest in your Strengths (not just take the assessment and call it good). Working with a Strengths coach can lead to lasting change.

Most “Top 5 Reasons You Need to Work With A Strengths Coach” lists will include the business reason behind WHY, but I am here for YOU. I care about the individual behind the Strengths. So my list may seem a little “different,” but I promise you, it will have a lasting impact.

Without further ado, here is my…

Top 5 Reasons You Need A Strengths Coach.

  1. You Deserve To Be Your (Best) Authentic Self

As a Strengths Coach, it is important that you know, we will bringing out the FULL you. Strengths Coaching is not about shaping you into the “perfect person.” It is about looking inside of you to get a clear understand of WHO you are and HOW you do your best work. Strengths take a customized approach to you recognizing all of the things that make you unique. You deserve to be your best, authentic self.

  2. Understand What Makes You Unique

Your Strengths set you apart. Literally, your combination of Strengths makes you 1 in 33 million. You deserve to understand the things that make you unique. This means taking a textbook deep-dive into the ways your strengths can be lived out AND then looking at it from YOUR definition. You are more unique than a textbook definition. You have many life experiences that go beyond the 1-page definition of your Strengths. So, let’s understand what makes YOU unique.

  3. Your Strengths = Your Greatness

They are called Strengths for a reason. You have a natural inclination to approach a given process or practice with ease. Your Strengths are like a guidebook to understanding what you do best. By taking an assessment and working with a coach, you can find ways to go from being good to GREAT. Your Strengths are part of your brand as a leader (in life, with your family, and at work). You deserve to tap into your Strengths to demonstrate your greatness.

  4. Create Ease in Your Life

Like I said in #3, your Strengths are a path to ease. I think of it like a “hack” to do your best work (and do it efficiently). When you work with your Strengths, you will find your work quicker, more effectively, and you likely will have energy for MORE of what you love to do. Strengths give you a chance to expand into areas of life that give you joy. Ease is expansive and abundant. Working with your Strengths will give you a chance to step into the life you really want.

  5. Your Strengths Are Restorative

Strengths are more than a “work hack.” They are also a way to enhance your WellBeing. In my blog, WellBeing, Strengths, & Happiness Lead to Success, there is a clear connection to how Strengths impact your overall WellBeing. Working with Strengths reminds me of the, “Put on your own oxygen mask before helping others.” When we use our Strengths daily, we are breathing in life-giving oxygen. It gives us energy for “What is next,” and allows us to fully show up for tomorrow. It is time to find WellBeing practices that align with your Strengths.
